Amazon is set to launch a smartphone screen with 3D display which would track the user’s retina according to reports in the United States.
The spectacle-free 3D visibility will show floating images above the screen as appearance-based, likened to that of a hologram, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The 3D feature is part of the developments to be launched with two new smartphones by Amazon, the report states.
An audio-streaming device will also be available as a built-in feature on the anticipated releases by 2014.
HumanIPO reported last month on the launch of Amazon’s app store in China.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Amazon is heading to enter the hardware market.
If it does it will come up against market leaders Apple and Samsung in the US.
Amazon currently owns 3.7 per cent of the tablet market space, lead by its Kindle Fire.
