French telecommunications operator Orange has inaugurated a new campus in Dakar, Senegal, boosting its global management community.
A first priority site has been launched in the Dakar technology park, offering 1,000 West African managers development programmes.
HumanIPO reported earlier this month on Orange’s partnership with the Global Network Initiative (GNI).
Orange delegates from Mali, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Niger, Ivory Coast and Senegal will benefit from more than 20 different programmes presented on campus.
The campus can host up to 160 people, with a library, amphitheatre and lecture rooms.
Courses presented will be part of “its international programmes, fostering diversity, which is integral to Orange Campus identity,” the operator announced today (Thursday).
The main objectives are providing basic skills for responsible management, developing collective programmes and supplying individual development programmes and management fundamentals for the reinforcement of managerial practices.
Eight registered instructors will be able to present the Orange campus courses independently as certified to comply with the country’s specific needs and resources.
With bases in 20 African countries, Orange also opened the programmes to other French-speaking African countries such as Cameroon, Central African Republic (CAR) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Orange sees the move as a further step of commitment to Africa, elevating its activity on the continent.
