Enterprise Mobility Forum to be held in Johannesburg soon

The second Enterprise Mobility Forum will take place in Sandton, Johannesburg between May 29 and 30, evaluating the impact of enterprise mobility, assess trends and highlight solutions.

Enterprise mobility is described as possibly the most “disruptive technology trend of the decade” and it is impacting all enterprises “across all levels”.

“Mobility has enabled unprecedented levels of collaboration of the remote workforce, but extracting meaningful information from this collaboration and using it to drive business value requires effective strategic planning and the right tools,” said David Ives, director of Karabina Solutions and keynote speaker for the Enterprise Mobility Forum.

Juniper Research estimated mobile data traffic generated by tablets, smart and feature phones will exceed 90,000 Petabytes come 2017.

A survey by CommScope, titled “Global Enterprise Survey” found cloud services and enterprise mobility are bigger challenges facing company networks globally, more so than green power initiatives, infrastructure and 40/100 gigabit ethernet.

Enterprise mobility is thus considered a large issue, and the forum seeks to address this by delivering relevant information and updates to help business and technical professionals maximise mobility potential.

One of the challenges faced by enterprises is balancing the risks and benefits of mobile enterprise technology.
