Two students from Uganda have been selected to participate in Certiport’s 2013 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship scheduled for July this year in US, which looks to equip participants with ICT skills.
The competition has run for the last 20 years and Uganda will be the first East and Central African country to send representatives.
Majaso Limited announced that twelve secondary schools will be eligible to take part in tests in Microsoft Word 2010 or Microsoft Excel 2010, from which two winners will be picked.
“We are excited to hold the first Microsoft Office Specialist competition in Uganda and send two finalists to gain international exposure and represent our country in the World Championship,” said Kulvinder Soor, director at Majaso.
Majaso is a long-term partner of Certiport, committed to working with ICT ministries to promote ICT education.
