Nigerians have taken to social media platforms in their thousands after news emerged the suspects involved in the gruesome murder of a British soldier in Woolwich, London, are of Nigerian de
scent.
According to news reports, the suspects knocked down the military officer with a car before pouncing on him and attacking him with machetes.
In a video that could not be independently verified by HumanIPO and other news channels, one of the criminals allegedly blamed the UK government’s involvement in Islamic nations as the rationale behind their action. Residents of the area who saw the daylight murder said the men were chanting statements in Arabic language.
Social media in Nigeria exploded last night and this morning when several articles suggested the criminals have Nigerian descent, causing Nigerians to react by claiming the British press only reveal a criminal’s descent but describe them as British when they win awards.
The UK government is yet to reveal official details, but the perpetrators were arrested last night and are currently under heavy guard in separate hospitals.
