Nigerian mobile communications firm Etisalat has launched Direct Data Voucher, allowing subscribers a simplified means through which to purchase data bundles.
The Direct Data Voucher is a scratch card that allows Etisalat subscribers to directly and simply purchase 200MB to 1.5GB data bundles, eliminating the current conventional airtime purchase requirement coupled with memorisation of activation codes.
Etisalat has also launched e-PIN, an electronic version of the voucher, through which subscribers can top-up their data via a 15-digit PIN similar to those on scratch cards.
Explaining the rationale behind the new products, Wael Ammar, chief commercial officer (COO) at Etisalat Nigeria, said the new products attest to the fact the company is always seeking to make things easier for its subscribers.
“We are always eager to develop products and services with our customers in mind. Our research indicates that our Direct Data Voucher, which is available for both prepaid and post-paid lines, will help our customers get easier access to data services,” Ammar said.
“Direct Data Voucher is simple to use and the PIN is easy to load. It doesn’t stop there; customers still rollover their data if they top up before their existing data expires. It is the same great service, but even simpler.”
