Vertex Standard new radio series incorporates analgoue and digital

A new eVerge digital radio portfolio has been launched by Vertex Standard which is also compatible with analogue, aimed at convenience during the digital migration.

In a statement, the company said the portfolio includes EVX-530 series portable radios; EVX-5300/5400 series mobile radios and EVX-R70 repeater for a complete digital system.

According to Paul De Carte, distribution director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Vertex Standard LMR, the new series was aimed at customers who desire flexibility.

“We built the eVerge radio series to be highly compatible for customers who need greater flexibility and maximum value. The name eVerge is comprised of two principles: evolve to change and emerge to be known,” Carte said.

He said the new series also allow users to choose the most appropriate digital protocol and the goal of eVerge digital radios is to provide users with better communication.

A company statement read: “The eVerge radios are ideally suited for commercial and industrial customers who currently use the basic Vertex Standard LMR for voice communications and could benefit from better audio quality, better coverage and more privacy without incurring higher equipment costs.”
