Samsung Electronics has settled on Intel Corp processors for its next series of top-tier Android tablets.
Replacing the previously used United Kingdom (UK) developed ARM Holdings chips, Samsung has shifted its choice to Intel for the line of Microsoft Windows ATIV tablets.
HumanIPO reported earlier this week on the expected release of the new ATIV lines, which is to occur in London on June 20.
Intel Clover Trail chips will be used for one or more of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablets,Reuters reported.
The new collection of Galaxy and ATIV tablets will compete with Apple’s iPad product range.
