South African e-commerce startup Affordable Choice (AC) has launched a competition as part of its online shop opening promotions.
AC offers online shoppers quality products at an affordable price by sourcing directly from suppliers.
A promotion competition which can be entered through Facebook likes opened on Thursday.
The online competition can be entered until the end of July with a CUBE Tablet PC valued at ZAR3,000 (US$300) at stake.
Facebook shares will increase the chances of being a winner.
No membership fees are required for online purchases of the products ranging from tablets, smartphones and laser pointers to leather bags and hiking headlights.
Speaking to HumanIPO, Ryan Blake, founder at AC, said: “The idea came from a need that I saw.”
He explained the search for products only available at expensive prices, led to the creation of AC.
Blake decided: “There has to be a good way to get good quality stuff at affordable prices.”
In the process of currently refining the service, Blake explained the product range will expand in the near future, though the focus is on quality rather than quantity.
Products are delivered with a no questions asked 30 day return-refund guarantee and a further one year guarantee on functionality.
The sales site is also accessible through mobile devices via the same address.
For every order above ZAR1,000 (US$100) delivery is free and purchases can be made in three currencies, including Euro and US Dollar.
Although South Africa is the main buying crowd at present, the service is available globally.
