Nigeria’s Arik Air has launched an online check-in service, allowing customers to register 24 hours before their flight takes off.
Similar to other online check-in services, passengers with baggage will still need to visit the counters at the airport and proceed through the usual security checks.
Chris Ndulue, the airline’s managing director and executive vice president, said: “As the number one airline in Nigeria, we have an obligation to our guests to ensure we utilise all forms of technology to improve our customer experience.”
Ndulue added customers should expect more technological upgrades to their services over the coming months.
Arik Air’s online check in service has been launched in Johannesburg, London and New York as well as in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, in Nigeria.
