The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has published its industry questionnaire concerning call termination regulations as it continues its focus on bringing down costs for consumers.
HumanIPO reported last week ICASA was beginning its investigations into how it can reduce costs and mobile termination rates (MTRs) are expected to be key.
As well as determining the effect of call termination regulations, ICASA hopes the results of the questionnaire will also assist in assessing the level of competitiveness.
The questionnaire is targeted at all Electronic Communications Services (ECS) and Electronic Communications Network Services (ECNS) licensees, with the authority insisting it is completed by July 26, 2013.
