Yahoo! has announced a new sports app, formerly known as Sportacular, which promises sports fans the best of Sportacular as well as new features including more content, faster experience and a redesign for iOS and Android smartphones.
“With the new iPad version we’ve focused on making our Yahoo! Sports app faster and easier to scan, navigate and consume,” said Brian Mead, director of product management at Yahoo!.
“We’ve used the extra screen space to make sure you can read the articles while keeping an eye on all the action.
“When following a game with one of your favorite teams, iOS devices give you a curated list of local experts and writers live tweeting up to the minute stats and plays.”
With the new app, users will also be able to check scores, get breaking news on players and find out the latest team updates around the clock on their desktops, tablet or smartphone.
It is also possible to sync favourite teams across various screens if you log in with a Yahoo! ID.
