MultiChoice has soft launched its sixth bouquet of channels, DStv Extra, but no external advertising has yet begun.
Current DStv subscribers have been the subject of advertising for the new package since Wednesday.
It has 86 channels, none of which are HD, including SuperSport Blitz and SuperSport 3 and 4, plus BBC entertainment, Comedy Central, E! Entertainment and VH1 Classic.
The two sports channels were the focus of a complaint brought by On Digital Media (ODM), which owns DStv rival TopTV, earlier this year.
The complaint concerned TopTV’s requested access to SuperSport 3 and 4, which ODM first agreed to, but later went back on.
