Etisalat is planning to expand its operations in Tanzania through its subsidiary Zantel as it looks to build on a successful five year partnership.
East African Business Week reports the United Arab Emirates-based network giant will help Zantel reinforce their leadership in broadband and customer experience.
Essa AlHaddad, Zantel’s chairman and chief regional officer, reiterated its commitment to investing in the country.
“Zantel has been able to revolutionize mobile communication in Tanzania by introducing various innovative platforms which have improved Tanzanian lives tremendously,” Al Haddad said.
“Our experience speaks for itself- we have successfully built operations in many fast-growing countries, as we have the financial and operational capabilities to deliver all commitments.”
Pratap Ghose, Zantel chief executive officer (CEO), said: “By being part of the Etisalat brand, we can offer our customers and multinational companies a seamless global service and value-adding corporate deals. We have a direct access to Etisalat’s global products and services.”
