Nigeria’s online megastore, Konga.com, has introduced a new solution allowing orders to be delivered to a pick-up centre from where individuals can collect orders at a convenient time.
Once an order has been delivered, the customer receives a notification and then has a week to pick it up.
HumanIPO reported yesterday how Manuel Koser, co-founder of Silvertree Capital, believed e-commerce in Nigeria had the potential to explode because of the difficulty in supply chains and moving products around, especially in Lagos.
A Konga.com statement said: “Upon entry, you will be greeted by warm and experienced Konga representatives who will be able to assist you with any order placed and other general enquiries/requests.
“This provides a slightly familiar physical element to the online experience and hopefully increases the convenience for you and every one of our customers, which is why these centers are open seven days a week to cater for everyone’s busy lifestyle.”
