Alcatel-Lucent, the global communications company, looks set to intensify its operations and focus in Africa with a major partnership announcement due next week.
The company, which is on the New York and Paris stock exchanges, currently does less than 7 per cent of its business on the continent.
The network specialist already operates in more than 100 countries, but the majority of its work takes place in Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America.
The announcement will be made on Tuesday next week at LTE Africa, in Cape Town.
HumanIPO will be reporting live from LTE Africa on July 9-10.
