Seeing Africa as an emerging market with great potential, product roll-out on the continent is the main objective of the collaboration.
SanDisk has revealed plans to reach markets in Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Tunisia, Morocco, Mozambique, Zambia and Namibia.
Sreedhar Sreekumar, region sales manager of SanDisk Middle East and Africa, said: “The partnership will strengthen our position in the African storage market.”
The increase in smartphone adoption in Africa offers the opportunity for SanDisk flash memory through original equipment manufacturer (OEMs), assisting with mobile applications.
