Data migration specialist Soarsoft Africa has entered into a collaboration with governance solution innovator Acaveo for South African market penetration.
The strategic partnership will enable Soarsoft to deliver Acaveo’s next generation data governance solution through its Johannesburg and Cape Town offices.
Chris Hathaway, managing partner at Soarsoft, said: “We are very excited about Acaveo’s solution because it fills critical gaps in an organisation’s ability to manage and protect increasing volumes of data.”
Through data comprehension at source level, from the Smart Information Server, archiving, data migration, audits and eDiscovery will become more affordable and cost-predictable, Hathaway explained.
Pleased with the partnership, Geoff Bourgeois, chief technical officer (CTO) at Acaveo, said: “We recognise that organisations in South Africa are philosophically advanced in their thinking on data retention, security and information governance issues.”
Bourgeois expects the Smart Information Server to be well received in South Africa through Soarsoft roll-out.
Sensitive data control is becoming an aspect of note as South Africa’s new data privacy laws calls for reconsideration of information storage control, the company stated.
The server will empower organisations with inventory, track, query and govern precise datasets from diverse columns of data spread across on-premise and cloud-based email, file and collaboration solutions.
Free trials are offered to qualifying organisations through applications.
Soarsoft is known for its operations through Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the USA.
