Khalid Abu Baker has been appointed the new managing director (MD) of Kaspersky Lab Middle East, covering key markets including the GCC, Egypt and Pakistan as well as relevant territories including Libya and Ethiopia.
Abu Baker who has been the corporate sales director and regional sales manager, will continue to build on the company’s dominance around its B2B portfolio of products, solutions and services.
According to chief sales and marketing officer at Kaspersky Lab Garry Kondakov, Abu Baker will continue to be based at the Dubai regional headquarters and report to Kondakov.
“With our global strategy to develop business in the corporate segment and new products such as Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, Khalid will be able to further improve great results achieved previously,” said Kondakov.
Abu Baker says he is looking into combining the strength of the company’s channel network with the power of B2B technologies “to further reinforce this position and bring customers the ability to focus on innovation and business growth while we take care of all their security needs.”
Outgoing MD Tarek Kuzbari will be moving to the United Kingdom to complete his MBA.
