African entertainment app Afrinolly has announced its launch on Windows Phone becoming the first African entertainment app on Windows 8.
Affinolly enables users to watch African movies, trailers and short films produced in the African movie markets, mostly Nollywood.
The app also allows users to watch African music videos, full length movies and get the latest news and gossip about the industry.
“Developing Afrinolly on Windows 8 has been an experience that was both challenging and interesting,” said Bobola Oniwura, Afrinolly spokesperson.
“Keeping our unified look and feel at the same time taking advantage of the key design principle of Metro; relying more on content and typography, was an interesting challenge. In the end we were able to build an app that is both clean and fast.”.
The app already runs on Android, iOS and BlackBerry operating systems.
HumanIPO reported in May Afrinolly had reached more than 2.5 million downloads and is now available in 12 languages.
