Geeksphone, which manufactured the first developer preview devices for Firefox, is now taking pre-orders of its Peak+ model.
The devices will sell for US$196 on pre-order and sold out a few hours after the sale opened.
Among features on the Peak+ include 1GB RAM, 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8225 chipset, 4.3 inch qHD IPS multi-touch screen, 8 mega-pixel camera on the back, 2MP camera on the front as well as the latest version of the Firefox OS version1.1.
The phone will also have a much larger internal storage of 4GB which can be expanded to 32GB and a 25GB cloud storage in partnership with Fiabee.
“An improved version of our most powerful device to date, the Peak+ boasts a 4.3″ qHD screen, more memory and a superior look and feel with premium materials. The Open Web, in your hands,” reads a statement on the company’swebsite.
To order willing buyers have to subscribe to the companies mailing list from where they will receive their orders once shipping starts in September.
