Samsung has issued a clarification of its smartphone trade-in offer, confirming the opportunity is open to all smartphone owners rather than just BlackBerry users.
HumanIPO reported yesterday on Samsung’s deal for BlackBerry owners to exchange their old models for new Samsung Galaxy mobile phones.
However, Samsung Africa has since clarified the offer, saying it is open to all smartphones, not just BlackBerrys.
Samsung Africa said on Twitter:

Initially appearing as a BlackBerry-exclusive deal, the smart trade was announced following the launch of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) on iOS and Android platform.
