South African consumer electronics and IT retailer Incredible Connection has launched a limited offer on its capped ADSL, charging ZAR49 (US$4.60) for 20 gigabytes of data per month, representing a ZAR91 (US$8.55) price reduction.
The offer is valid for the first 500 subscribers who will pay a set amount for the duration of their subscription.
Incredible Connection has also reduced the price of its uncapped offering recently, charging ZAR99 (US$9.30) for 2Mbps of bandwidth.
The initiative follows moves by numerous internet service providers (ISP) to reduce the cost of data.
Last month, Afrihost announced it would be halving its unshaped ADSL prices, providing the country with internet accessibility for as low as ZAR2 (US$0.18) per gigabyte.
Later that week, Axxess announced it was cutting its prepaid ADSL prices from ZAR29 (US$2.72) to ZAR9 (US$0.84) per gigabyte after reducing its capped top-up rates from ZAR19 (US$1.78) to ZAR7 (US$0.66) per gigabyte.
