South African internet service provider (ISP) Axxess has reduced the cost of its ADSL bundles to boost competition with part state-owned Telkom.
The company said the move would “offer more savings to Axxess clients and move their Telkom line over to us”, and said the reductions were permanent and not promotional.
HumanIPO reported in September Telkom was set to increase the speed of its ADSL wholesale services without increasing prices as it fell into line after being reprimanded by the Competition Commission.
The operator also dropped its wholesale tariffs and announced its resellers will benefit from increased performance from the lines Telkom provides.
