Throughout the promotion Safaricom customers have walked away with over KSh500 million($ 58,052.36) in cash and airtime.
“When I was told that I had won I couldn’t summon the strength to stand up or walk for a while, it was too much for me to take in at once. To say that I was surprised by that phone call is the understatement of the year,” said Kariuki.

The 44-day-promotion was a reward to the over 19 million loyal and supportive customers using both prepay and postpay services. 44 people won KSh1 million($ 11,610.47) each, while a similar number won KSh100,000($ 1,161.05) each.
